  15. <p>     DIED. Malcolm Muggeridge, 87, protean British man of
  16. letters; in Sussex, England. As the Manchester Guardian's
  17. Moscow correspondent in the 1930s, Muggeridge, once a
  18. socialist, became disillusioned with the Soviets. In Mozambique
  19. during World War II he served as a British spy, which he found
  20. degrading. He edited Punch from 1953 to 1957 and turned to
  21. television as an interviewer and documentary film writer. A
  22. devout Christian and self-described "Jesus freak," he wrote
  23. several books on religion, including Jesus Rediscovered (1969)
  24. and A Third Testament (1976).
